Do you love the style of your wedding ring? For many of us who’ve been married for years, the style we loved when we were first married no longer fits our style today.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your wedding ring with a new ring altogether or you want to refresh just the setting for your center diamond, this post is for you!
In this post, I will show you the ring transformation of a concierge client I helped update her engagement ring setting to a more contemporary and luxurious style using her original center stone.
Her original 1.7-carat princess (square-shaped) center stone had a baguette on each side. The height was set high. This setting type was popular in the 2000-2003 time period.
In wanting a current style and more sparkle, she decided on a French pavé eternity band with pavé diamonds around her center stone, with a cushion-cut pavé edged diamond on each side. She chose platinum again for her ring metal. Platinum is preferable for wedding rings that we wear every day due to its strength and durability.
All materials aside from the center stone are new.
Updating a ring that you had for many years by just resetting your center stone is a great way to keep the sentiment of the original piece while feeling like you have a brand-new ring to cherish! You can even use your original ring’s smaller stones not used for your new ring to make a cool pendant or even a right-hand ring,
Many women have thought about doing this but feel overwhelmed with the choices, and don’t know where to start. It should be fun and easy, not intimidating.
I’d love to help you design the perfect ring that shows your personality and style. Have peace of mind that your new custom ring will be made using the best materials and workmanship at a fraction of retail pricing.
